AGAPS Biennial Book Award

To my great delight and astonishment my book, Millennial Dreams in Oil Economies: Job Seeking and the Global Political Economy of Labour in Oman, has received the AGAPS Biennial Book Award!

I received the news during the AGAPS Business Meeting held at MESA. The announcement rendered me speechless, a state I'm most unaccustomed to. I must thank my publisher for nominating Millennial Dreams. How special as well to see my book in such great company - many congratulations Arang!

I feel especially honoured to receive this accolade from such an esteemed review committee, with Nelida Fuccaro, Tim Niblock, and Amal Sachedina. Their commendation is below:

If you would like to hear more about my book, check out my interview with Jadaliyya for their New Texts Out Now series.

Crystal A. Ennis, Millennial Dreams in Oil Economies: Job Seeking and the Global Political Economy of Labour in Oman (New Texts Out Now)
The idea of this book is to retell the story of Oman’s modern economic development from the perspective of labor instead of oil—bringing in people from the margins of (global) political economy analysis.
